IN CASE YOU hadn’t heard: Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Mel Gibson and John Lithgow were in town yesterday for the premiere of their new film, Daddy’s Home 2.
One of their first stops was an interview with Today FM’s Dermot and Dave in front of a live audience, which was broadcast this morning.
The lads asked what the four of them had got up to in the city so far, and Will decided to stick the boot in about Ireland’s loss to Denmark the night before:
Will: Well, we were all at the football match.
Dave: Straight for the jugular.
Will: I mean, we had the best time… No. Our condolences.
Too soon, Will. Thankfully, he made it up to us (or to one county, anyway) by revealing he was wearing a Longford GAA jersey under his jacket.
Later on at the premiere, he was accosted by Jedward on the red carpet, who referred to him as ‘Daddy Will’ in an Instagram post:
(Did they meet Mel Gibson or Mark Wahlberg? We’d give anything to have seen that. If you have any intel, get in touch.)
We think he’s earned our forgiveness. Thanks for stopping by, guys.
